The Junior Freeskiing Tour (JFT) is a platform to develop young professional big mountain athletes by providing opportunities for them to compete and show the direction big mountain skiing is heading.  The JFT is supported by the International Freeskiers Association (IFSA) and its judging platform. Athletes are judged on five categories; line score, control, fluidity, technique, and style/energy.

The Tecnica/Blizzard Free Mountain Award goes to the athlete who best exhibits on-hill/off-hill positive leadership and a sportsman-like attitude. It is awarded at each tour stop.
