THE “COWBOY UP” JUNIOR FREESKIING CHALLENGE , Presented by the IFSA and STEVENS PASS SKI AREA will be a celebration of the continued popularity and growth of junior freeskiing events throughout North America.

Stevens Pass Ski Area in Washington State will host its first freeskiing event February 1-3, 2008. This event is for ages 14-17 and will showcase some of the best young freeskiers in the region as they ski for a shot at a National Championship in Big Mountain Freeskiing.

MOUNTAIN SPORTS INTERNATIONAL EXPANDS 2008 SUBARU U.S. FREESKIING SERIES WITH EVENTS AT ALYESKA, ALASKA, AND CRESTED BUTTE, COLORADO.

Salt Lake City UT, December 27, 2007—Blazing into its third year, the Subaru U.S. Freeskiing Series (USFS) and Freeskiing World Tour (FWT) have become the largest cohesive competitive Big Mountain Freeskiing tours in the history of the sport, with the Subaru USFS featuring an unprecedented six stops. With two new locations added to the already impressive roll-call of resorts, both tours culminate at the ultimate big mountain competition venue of Alyeska Resort, Alaska, in April.

 Press Release: CRYSTAL MOUNTAIN!!!! 5TH ANNUAL SILVER KING FREERIDE

Big MountainSilver King Freeride at Crystal Mt, WA Presented by American Suzuki Motor Corporation, K2 Sports and Sturtevant's Sports.

Crystal Mountain will be hosting the Mountain Challenge's 5th annual Silver King Freeride Big Mountain competition on March 21-24, 2007.

Men, Women, Juniors and Snowboarders will compete for over $20,000 in Cash and Prizes at Washington's Largest Ski Area. Registration is still open but it is filling up fast.

With some of the best riding conditions in the world right now in the Northwest, the SKF will prove to be another exciting and fun competition on the big mountain circuit. Over 390 inches of snow has fallen at Crystal Mt this season so far and if this turns out to be a typical March, 70-100 inches more will fall this month making the conditions once again epic during this contest!

 Press Release: Las Lenas Freeskiing Event

Official IFSA NewsPress Release:

The 2005/2006 IFSA Freeskiing World Tour will NOT include a stop in Las Lenas.

Much effort was put into seeking adequate sponsorship for the event, but with such a short timetable this was not possible.

When asked about the future of this event, MSI President Adam Comey said, "Las Lenas is a great resort with ideal Big Mountain terrain. We are very excited about the possiblity of an event in Las Lenas and will work towards this happening in the summer of 06 for the 06/07 World Tour."
