The 2018 Freeride Season Begins With Beartooth Basin
The IFSA is pleased to announce that Beartooth Basin Summer Ski Area will be hosting two freeriding events to kick off the 2018 season for both Juniors and Adult athletes.
Plan for an incredible time exploring the unique terrain and backcountry playground of Beartooth Basin. These competitions present a wonderful summer training opportunity as well as a chance to keep your competition skills sharp. Note that 2017 IFSA memberships will be valid for these events, but the points will be counted toward 2018 athlete rankings.
The Junior event is scheduled for June 13-14th, 2017 and the FWQ 2* event for adults is scheduled for June 17th, 2017.
“We are extremely excited to feature our unique summer terrain by hosting Freeride events for the IFSA” states Justin Modroo, Vice President of the summer ski area. “The Beartooth Mountains and this area have a long skiing history, and we are committed to continue the tradition with Freeride events for both juniors and adults!"
The official 2017 Beartooth Basin season is expected to open May 27th, 2017, the same weekend as the opening of the All American Beartooth Pass Highway, just south of Red Lodge.
