I'm 18, do I compete as a junior or an FWQ adult?

As an 18-year-old, you are allowed to compete in the IFSA Junior Series until you turn 19, or you can enter the IFSA/FWQ adult series, where you can continue to participate in our amazing freeride community and possibly qualify for the adult Freeride World Tour.

See more info here: http://www.freeskiers.org/about/welcome.html

Know that if you wish to compete as an adult event at the FWQ level, you cannot then go back and compete as a junior. It’s up to you to decide if you’d like to compete as a junior or adult. Also note that the day you turn 19, you are no longer eligible to compete as a junior.

Should you compete as a 15-18 junior and receive an invitation to our NorAm Championship in April, if you turn 19 before that date, you will not be permitted to compete.

Membership for adults is currently open, and you can purchase an FWQ or collegiate IFSA membership here: https://fwt.memberpro.net/ssl/main/body.cfm?menu=register
Membership for juniors can be purchased here: https://register.freeskiers.org/cs/ifsa/site.register_custom
