Tell us about your 2018-2019 Freeride season.
This year with the IFSA was by far my favorite ski season ever. It was the first year that I really enjoyed competing. When I used to compete, I would get super nervous to the point where I just wanted to go home. But this year I started to really travel around to different places and meet new people who I liked being around and riding with. Even when I would crash and get last place, the experience of just being there was amazing.
What are you up to this summer?
This summer I am really looking forward to getting back on my mountain bike. Last year I had to get lots of maintenance on it just to keep it together, which meant that I haven't been biking since the middle of July last year. There is also a slim chance that I may be going to Argentina for ski training with the Big Sky Freeride team
Who is your Freeride hero?
There are actually a couple of people that I look up to in snowboarding. The first person that I look up to a lot is Holden Samuels. He is a very good snowboarder who was also from the Big Sky Freeride team, so to try and keep up the legacy of really good Big Sky snowboarders I am going to have to get really good at snowboarding. The second person that inspires me would be the teams snowboard coach Drew DeWolf. Although all of my coaches are awesome, he is that one guy that is always there for me in competitions, and just when we are out shredding. He also snowboards which makes him better than all the other coaches. Then the last person that inspires me would be Victor De La Rue just because he is really good at snowboarding.
