How was the FWQ season for you this year?
This was a very fun and challenging season for me. The snow conditions were not always ideal and neither was my body haha. I battled with dislocating my shoulder three times and that made me have to be very conscious of every decision I made. The three final events were amazing! The snow was great and the venues were even better!
What are you up to this summer preparing for FWT? Any exciting projects planned?
My summers are really similar to my winters. I ride downhill mountain bikes professionally and travel to all the stops of the World Cup qualifiers here in North America. Its so sick getting to travel to all the cool spots in the summer and enjoy sweet times with my people. I’m one result away from having enough points to race World Cups! It’s been an amazing journey and I find that chasing both sports at the same time is extremely challenging but very motivating. It keeps my mind fresh for whatever I’m doing at the moment. We’re all more capable then we think.
Anyone you look up to or inspires you? Anyone you look forward to competing with on FWT?
The people that motivate me are my friends, especially the ones that qualified for the tour with me this year. Zander, Leif and Addi are amazing people to have around and I cant wait to see what they’ll do! My two huge influences are Andrew Pollard and Ross Tester, both really good friends of mine and I’m stoked to travel with them all season!! Additionally another big shout out goes to the legend Reine Barkered! So happy to have him as a teammate and a big influence for me on the tour next year! I’m excited to compete against everyone on the tour, everybody crushes.
